Despite the cold, wet and dreary conditions, more than 20 volunteers from ANZ, along with a couple of Monash University students, generously gave their time to plant 600 indigenous trees, shrubs and grasses on a beautiful property in Cranbourne South. This property is home to powerful owls, bandicoots and an abundance of birdlife, all of which will benefit from the expanding habitat in the months and years ahead.A huge thank you to the incredibly welcoming property owners for their wonderful hospitality and delicious spread, and to the crew from Wetland & Wildlife Creations for powering through and digging all 600 holes.A fantastic effort by everyone involved. Thank you for helping create more habitat for our local wildlife!Thank you to our amazing sponsors and partners:Western Port BiosphereFifteen TreesOne Tree PlantedLandcare VictoriaYulgilbarMornington Peninsula ShireThe Koalaโ€™ty CompanyConservation Collective Native Plant NurseryWillum Warrain Aboriginal AssociationMelbourne WaterMiller's Bread KitchenWild Adventures MelbourneElevate Wine ToursGlobal GreenTALL TREESWelcome to Travel@peninsulabushworks#koalahabitatrestoration #koalaconservation #saveourkoalas ... So after a pretty gloomy and very wet week, today was food for the soul. Under blue skies we planted 700 trees and shrubs in Flinders, collaborating with the amazing teams from Morn Pen Intrepid Landcare and Creative Climate , who even organised Dreamer Coffee & Food to cater for us! The almost 60 volunteers made light work of the planting and were treated to a Kokedama making class afterwards. Special thank you to uncle Josh, who welcomed us so beautifully with a smoking ceremony in the morning!Thank you to everyone who joined us today and thank you to our amazing sponsors and partners:Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation Wetland & Wildlife Creations @old_man_sunFifteen TreesOne Tree Planted Community & Farmers in Vic ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ Mornington Peninsula Shire The Koala'ty CompanyConservation Collective Willum WarrainMelbourne Water MILLERS BREAD KITCHEN WAM!
