Cancelled: Koala Food Tree Planting Day – Somers

August 8, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

koala tree planting

Spend the morning with us to plant 100’s of koala food trees and other local trees and shrubs to increase koala habitat in the beautiful town of Somers.  Habitat loss is the main reason for the decline of koalas and other wildlife, so let’s do something about it!

This is a great opportunity to learn about our environment and local wildlife (including koalas) while helping us to increase available habitat.

Important Information: Please wear long pants and closed shoes as we will be walking through bush and or grassy areas. Bring your own hat, gardening gloves, water and snacks.  We will provide all tools and hand sanitiser.

Please ensure you follow state government COVID restrictions.

We are planting on private property at 211 Sandy Point Road, Somers.  You will see our big teardrop flag near the entrance to the property and instructions for parking.  Please drive slowly!

You must register your attendance via the Eventbrite link below. Please only register if you are definitely attending. Spaces limited.
